South Korean government asks U.S. to limit beef imports PDF Print E-mail

After thousands of South Koreans protested on the streets, the South Korean government has delayed the April 18 accord that would have resumed U.S. beef imports to the South Korean market. Many South Koreans fear the possible spread of mad-cow disease from infected beefs. South Korean farm minister Chung Woon-chun also announced that the South Korean government has asked the U.S. not to export beef from cattle over 30 months old.
