As the country begins a recovery back to normal life, there is increasing pressure for politicians with ties with the former President Ben Ali to resign.

The Washington Post is reporting that the country is slowly recovering towards pre-uprising conditions as cities run with usual businesses and the country’s authorities decreasing curfew times, a signal that security is improving.

Nevertheless, there have been smaller scale protests, calling for the resignation of several government ministers, including the Prime Minister, due to their ties with the former President Ben Ali. The new government has been formed right after the sudden departure of the former President, and Prime Minister Mohammed Ghannoushi has called for new elections.

Meanwhile, the former President’s family members have been arrested in the country, and there have been efforts to track and freeze the President’s assets. The United Nations is planning to send a team to investigate the recent killings of individuals during the uprising season.
