India’s space exploration paves waves of dreams

India recently launched a satellite to the moon in order to redraw the surface of the moon for the next two years. The launch was declared a success as Chandrayaan-1 from the Srihariokota space facility disappeared from the sky. This was the first space launch for India, and it has boosted high enthusiasm among the younger generation, who dream of being part of the space program.

The event brings India to the exclusive club of nations that launched satellite and spacecraft to the moon. In Asia, only Japan and China sent spacecrafts to the moon. The $80 million space mission is considered to be quite low in budget compared to other space missions by Japan and China.

India can truly use this event to encourage and promote education among the youth nation-wide. The space program connects with the younger generation as the interest for the subject of space never loses enthusiasm among the youth. This space launch could provide an invaluable inspiration among the young that maybe in 20 years India can generate teams of world leading experts from the current youth generation, who were inspired by the soaring launch.

India’s space program has been collaboration among other countries, including the United States and the European Space Agency. This event will also bring close international tides as India celebrates its first space exploration.
