As Israel continues to bombard Lebanon with artillery fire and tank barrages, Hezbollah continuously fired rockets towards highly populated Israeli cities, such as the port city of Haifa. When Israeli commanders stated that the bombings have taken most of Hezbollah's infrastructures, Hezbollah's leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah appeared to be confident in an interview with Aljazeera and claimed that the terrorist group was not harmed by the Israeli attacks. The conflict is expected to escalate as United Nations weighed into the situation with Secretary General Kofi Annan criticized both Hezbollah and Israel.
